  • Feeling “different” without knowing why
  • Exhaustion from masking to fit in
  • Difficulty with unwritten social rules
  • Deep thinking and honesty others may miss

How we treat autism

Evidence-based care, matched to you.

Your clinician draws from these proven approaches and tailors a plan to your goals, history, and pace.

Strengths-based therapy

We start from what works about how you think, then build tools for the parts of daily life that feel harder: organization, transitions, communication.

Social & communication support

Practical, respectful work on relationships and self-advocacy, aimed at helping you be understood rather than teaching you to mask.

Family & parent guidance

For families, we help everyone understand each other better and build a home that fits how your child is wired.

Sensory & regulation tools

Concrete strategies for overwhelm and shutdown, so an overloaded nervous system has a way back to calm.

Common questions

Autism spectrum therapy, answered.

Still have a question? Call 804-264-0966 . Our front desk is glad to help.

Do you diagnose autism?

We focus on therapy and support. For formal autism evaluation we refer to trusted testing partners in the Richmond area, then coordinate care from there. You don’t need a diagnosis in hand to start.

I think I might be autistic, as an adult. Is that real?

Very much so. Many people, especially women, reach adulthood before it’s recognized. Understanding it later in life can be clarifying and freeing, and we’re glad to explore it with you.

Will you try to make me act “less autistic”?

No. Our work is affirming. We help you understand yourself, reduce burnout, and function in the ways that matter to you, without asking you to hide who you are.

Can you help with co-occurring anxiety or ADHD?

Yes. These very often travel together, and we treat the whole picture rather than any one label in isolation.

Ready to talk to someone?

We’re accepting new clients now. Reach out today and we’ll help you take the first step, usually within a week or two.
