Emily Mangan, LPC

Accepting clients 14 years old and above

Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Counseling & Human Development and a Bachelor’s in English & Secondary Education. Her academic and professional background has strengthened her ability to think critically and recognize patterns. She believes knowledge is power and creative expression has the potential to serve as a bridge when words feel inaccessible. Her experience with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps deepened her commitment to social justice, community engagement, and understanding the systemic influences that shape individual experiences.

Emily’s clinical framework is rooted in strengths-based, harm-reduction, and person-centered approaches. She integrates concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and expressive modalities to support insight, emotional regulation, and personal agency.

Her therapeutic style is warm and collaborative, balancing thoughtful reflection with practical skill-building. She works with adolescents (13+) and adults navigating substance use, LGBTQIA+ interests, complex trauma, life transitions, body image and self-worth concerns, relationship challenges, grief, and burnout. Emily is experienced in individual, family, and group therapy work and strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where one feels supported and empowered in their healing journey.
